Binarynewz.com is a search engine for usenet binaries. We do not host any files, we do not link to any files, these files are not downloaded to our system. We merely index the headers only from usenet and offer them in a searchable form.

Our script ignores much of the waste and repeated headers on usenet to help save us bandwidth and to make it easier for users to view the site. Results are clear and concise.

Binarynewz first opened in the spring of 2002 and had over 200000 hits in the first 30 days. The traffic was dependant on user submissions for the database. While this was a good idea, we didn't want to be dependant on others to do our work for us. Binarynewz was then closed and work started on a script to automate the process.

We have been a very long time in reopening but we feel Binarynewz will once again be the popular site it once was with the help and dedication of the programmers and admins. Long live usenet!
